Barcelona December 2008 With a special weekend fare I was visiting with a good friend Barcelona on the 21st of December. Barcelona is the main hub for Clickair and Vueling and is the second largest airport of Spain just behind Madrid Barajas. The main landing runway that day was 25R. There is a photo location in the approach which allows you to take decent pictures almost the whole day (in December). |

London Heathrow September 2008 Heathrow is Europe's busiest airport, handling more than sixty million passengers and more than 440,000 movements a year. It is the homebase of the British Airways fleet and a few more of Britain's best known airlines. Almost all of the European airlines visit Heathrow several times a day, as do the main Asian carriers. Since summer 2008 most North American airlines have moved to here from Gatwick as well. Among the regular visitors to Heathrow are practically all Arabian VIP aircraft. |

Palma de Mallorca July 2008 PMI is one of the the most popular holiday destination for Europeans around the Mediterranean. So there is also a lot of traffic at the airport with the busiest days on the weekend. You can see there aircraft from almost every European country.With westerly winds most landings are carried out on runway 24L while runway 24R handles all take offs and some landings. Is the wind from the east, landings will be on runway 06L and all take offs then from 06R. |

Rhodos June 2008 Rhodos is the 2nd biggest island in Greece and was visited in June. During summer time there are a lot of charter flights out of western europe, but also the ex russian countrys are increasing their flights to Rhodos. There are many good photopositions around the airport. |
