Trip 2009

Zürich 2009

Images taken at Zürich Airport in 2009. Zurich Airport offers a lot of very good opportunities for the enthusiast to take pictures from. Mayby it is one of the best place in Europe.

Rhodos October 2009

Rhodos is the 2nd biggest island in Greece and was visited in October during my holidays with my family. During summer time there are a lot of charter flights out of western europe, but also the ex russian countrys are increasing their flights to Rhodos. There are many good photopositions around the airport.

Heraklion/Crete September 2009

Images taken at Heraklion in September 2009. Heraklion is after Athens the biggest airport in Greece.Visited by a lot of charter companies during the summer time, but very quiet in winter.

Antalya 2009

I had the possibility to visit Antalya beginning of June and I got again a ramp permission. It was a big success and I had the possibility to take some really nice pics. The weather was nice and the traffic just great.
Antalya continues to be a popular holiday destination and Antalya Airport ist the most important tourist gateway for the Turkish Riviera with around 17 million passengers recorded for 2008.

WEF @ Zurich 2009

The WEF 2009 at Davos once more saw many interesting aircraft to arrive in Zurich. This year, only 60 parking positions were available resulting in some aircraft dropping off their passengers at Zurich and then being ferried to other airports. This allowed the enthusiasts to have several possibilities to capture these biz-jets. After a very mild and rather sunny WEF 2008 it was this year very cold, dull and miserable.

Las Palmas 2009

Gran Canaria Airport, located on the coast of the island from which it takes its name, is the gateway for the millions of tourists who visit the island every year. Thanks to its ideal weather conditions, Gran Canaria Airport has excellent operating conditions and is open 24 hours a day every day of the year. In 2008, the airport handled 10,212,106 passengers, 116,239 flight operations and 33,693 tonnes of cargo.

Tenerife Sur 2009

Situated to the south of the island, at the heart of the tourist area, Tenerife Sur Airport was inaugurated by Queen Sofía on 6 November 1978. Currently it offers more than a hundred connecting flights and it is busiest on Fridays and during the winter. To adapt airport capacity to the growing air traffic demands, significant infrastructure improvements are being carried out, particularly in the passenger terminal control area. In 2008 a total of 8,252,017 passengers and 60,779 flights were handled.
